If you are in Kentucky or Utah, contact your Senator TODAY and urge them to support the Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act 2.0 (S. 1624).
The original Gabriella Miller Kids First Act has been collecting and sharing valuable data with scientists and doctors in all states and many countries around the world for 10 years. The Act has produced more than $88 million in research grants. While legislation to renew the Act has passed in the House of Representatives months ago, it has not passed in the Senate. If the Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act 2.0 (Senate bill 1624) fails to pass in the Senate by the end of this year, we will lose the valuable data in the Kids First Data Resource Center and the ability to capitalize on all the work that has been done in the last 10 years, not to mention empowering scientists to accelerate groundbreaking research, develop innovative treatments, and ultimately improve countless children’s and their families’ lives.
Most of Congress is behind this important legislation, but Kentucky Senator Rand Paul and Utah Senator Mike Lee are hold-outs. Let’s ensure they know just how vital this legislation is to American families.
